Subject: [WikimediaMobile] Layout good, redirect bad

Hi,

Since you asked for feedback, and I'm on my iPhone:

I assume I was redirected from the original page to the mobile
version. The layout is great, image and info on top and then text.
That makes it real easy to get or find the info I'm looking for.

I don't think the subheads should be hidden behind a "Show" button: I
prefer to scroll only as far as I want to read rather than have to
click (and wait) for more content. Once the mobile device has the
connection, downloading some extra text isn't the issue. But having
more widgets (Ajax, JavaScript, DHTML, or whatever) just slows down
the rendering.

But my main gripe is that the auto redirect keeps me from going back
to my original page, which is usually what Wikipedia readers want to
do after getting the info they need. The back button on the iPhone
browser doesn't have a history, so it only goes back once to the auto
referral, and then i'm trapped. Not sure how to fix that, but it makes
Wikipedia browsing difficult on the iPhone.

Thanks,

Andy Kass
