Resolved: firmware upload failure ?: msg#00365misc.nslu2.linux
Well to answer my own questions. If you poke around a bit you will find a directory called conf which has an upgrade directory inside of it. Mine was empty by I think that happened once I put HD on it. That directory is re-created on the hard drive so once I re-uploaded the firmware it went to the HD instead of the memory. I ended up going from V2.3R25 to V2.3R29 to 3.18 beta. The documentation is a little on the rough side but thats due to the path I had to take to get things done. At some point in time when I have time I should actually document things that I find working on this. Someone mentioned that 10MB hubs caused problems with the SLUG, has anyone else seen that? I dont know of anything else that would have caused any of the problems I experienced. Well maybe the wobble in the earths rotation was doing it :) Peace, Liquiz [ Moderator Note: All static information is slowly moving to the Wiki at http://www.nslu2-linux.org ] |
