firmware upload failure ?: msg#00341misc.nslu2.linux
Hello Everyone I got my nslu2 in the mail the other day and ran across a rather odd problem, probably of my own making :) During the upgrade process to 3.18 beta the upload seemed to go fine and the screen returned but the slug didnt seem to take it. I gave it about 15 minutes or so without any luck. I have powered the unit on and off several times since this happened. Well this morning I tried another upload and now Im getting a message about being out of space. Im guessing its the previous upload stuck there causing this. Ill be following the batbox method of "breaking" into the system by taking the usb drive to my linux box and just overwriting the password with a known one. 1. Does anyone know where the upgrade bin file might be hiding at? 2. Any ideas as to why the 1st upload might have failed? Thanks [ Moderator Note: All static information is slowly moving to the Wiki at http://www.nslu2-linux.org ] |
