Looking more cerefully to the RTP payload, now I am convinced that only the first byte is missing. So, no compile problem.
Acctualy, on my Fedora box I am running asterisk 1.0.5 and everithing works just fine.
Now I am building version 1.0.5 for the unslung, maybe it's just a regresion on the 1.0.6
 
I'll keep you posted...

You should not change the make file for this, if the make file is
already working.  You need to generate a patch file via 'diff' between
the orignal files and you updated files.  In this case, you only need
to regenerate a new patch file everytime you change any code.
