On the contrary, the overwhelming majority (i.e. greater than 95%) of
nslu2-linux firmware users are the "general" public, and need a recovery
mode that works. Granted that is often a reflash, but being able to
boot without a disk attached, ssh in, and ipkg install from a usb key is
still an important feature of the in-flash filesystem.

That's why we've modularised SlugOS in OE so that you can create your
RobotSlugOS more easily ...
