Re: building fontconfig fails

Hello,

I found that manually adding '-lz' to the CFLAGS in all
fontconfig/src/fc-*/Makefile's solved the issue, which seems to be
equal to this:

Is this mailing list appropriate for discussing building 'other'
packages, i.e. those outside the default build target (whatever that
is).

(I am building mainly for an IXDP425 using openslug, so my goals are
slightly different than most of you, although I do also have a NSLU2
here.)
