error msgs and direction cosines

Hi All
 
I am a new user of Abaqus. I have a  problem. i have am error message like that 
:
 
***ERROR: ELEMENT 17 IS CLOSE TO PARALLEL WITH ITS BEAM SECTION AXIS. 
           DIRECTION COSINES OF ELEMENT AXIS 0.0000 0.0000 -1.0000. DIRECTION 
           COSINES OF FIRST SECTION AXIS 0.0000 0.0000 -1.0000
 ***NOTE: DUE TO AN INPUT ERROR THE ANALYSIS PRE-PROCESSOR HAS BEEN UNABLE TO

 ***ERROR: ELEMENT 18 IS CLOSE TO PARALLEL WITH ITS BEAM SECTION AXIS. 
           DIRECTION COSINES OF ELEMENT AXIS 0.0000 0.0000 -1.0000. DIRECTION 
           COSINES OF FIRST SECTION AXIS 0.0000 0.0000 -1.0000
 
What should i do?
 
And also i have a problem with direction cosines ; how can we set (0,0,-1) or 
anythingelse?
