Subject: Can *model change use in the integrate point of shell ?

Hello everyone,
Now i am focus on the multi-pass welding analysis using composite shell
element ,as you know ,in general multipass welding analysis ,we can use the
*model change to add or remove the element ,which can show the appearance of
the weld ,i want to know if i use composite shell to analysis the same
procedure, and each composite layer is the real weld pass ,when the first pass
(layer ) is welded , the temperature constrain to apply into the integrate
points of this layer and other integrate points should be "remove " like the
*model change's removing the nonused element at that time ,when using them,to
active ,i know the *model change based on the element ,so i want to use UMAT
to realize this case, that is ,using UMAT to surpress the non-used integrate
points (that is decrease the stiffen matrix of it to a very small value )when
need it ,to renew it to his origin value, can my thought realize?

3x,every!
