shot peening

Dear group,
 
I am working on Shot Peening Process
 
I designed a plate of steel (solid extrusion) and a sphere (discrete rigid)
 
My analysis is completed with out any errors, but while analyzing the results i 
am unable 
 
get any stresses in the plate. Actually the sphere just passing through the 
plate( as if 
 
there is no plate).
 
any one help me how to interact the sphere and the plate
