Shell interaction: msg#00173mathematics.abaqus.user
Hi All, I am modeling cruciform (shaped like a cross) 3d structure as thick shells. In briefly, in the model two shells intersect each other. All dimensions and material properties are same in respect to 3D model, but total weight of shell model is much more that 3d one. I think, in the shell model calculation, the intersection volume of the shells are added two times, and consequently it increases the total weight, so gives different output results. Could anyone give me some advice that how to overcome this problem. Many thanks, Orhan Cicek ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> $9.95 domain names from Yahoo!.
