Subject: Re: Joint between two parts - Are they constraint to any DOF?

Hi,
I think there is no CORM (components of relative
motion) between the two links acting as trusses. Hence
there is one common node shared by two links and hence
the node acts similar to other nodes in the two
connected links.
If you want to constraint the 2 links relative to each
other then one possible solution is onle to get the
links in separate parts and then try to define the
constraint as coupling between 2 end nodes of the
links and apply DOF to CORM as per your need.
This is what I know.
If anybody knows more about getting DOF (or CORM)for
single shared node between 2 links of the same part
please let me know...
Thanks,
Kedar
