imperfection included in an analysis: msg#00132mathematics.abaqus.user
Hello all, I've been doing some search for a couple of days in documentation, but I haven't found any example that suits my needs. I am a kind on newbie in Abaqus. I am interested in plotting the force vs displacement and the deflected shape under a certain load - for a simple model, which is a simply suported beam-column. I study he problem under large displacements. I've been using so far NLG udner a STATIC GENERAL case, without any imperfection included. I got the plot I wanted. The results seem to be feasible. But I want now to introduce the imperfection from a *BUCKLE analysis, continue the analysis (within another step) with a RIKS under NLG, and then RESTART with another step to get the deflected shape udner a certain load. The issue here regards the manipulation of these steps, and I wasn't able to do it properly. Does anyone have a template with this one? I guess using CAE is straightforward to generate the input file. Regards, Narcis --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Read only the mail you want - Yahoo! Mail SpamGuard.
