RE: Perfect connectivity - thanks!: msg#00118mathematics.abaqus.user
Yes that is exactly the problem! I remodelled it with the rigid body as the master surface and it runs ok now. Thanks a million!!! -----Original Message----- From: Fernando Romero Marina [mailto:ferro1001@xxxxxxxx] Sent: Mon 10/18/2004 3:10 PM To: ABAQUS@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Cc: Subject: Re: [ABAQUS] Perfect connectivity Hi, Perhaps you have defined the rigid part as the slave surface. What messages apppear in the .sta file? What error appear in the job monitor? tankaifong <eng10405@xxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Hi all i am a student and new to abaqus. i am required to do a simple simulation in which i have to ensure perfect connectivity between a 2D rigid body inside 2D deformable body. I have tried many different types of constraints, including the "tie" function in CAE, by tying the individual edges together, but this has produced errors. Can anyone offer suggestions as to why the errors occur? Do i have to specify surface-to-surface contact or any other constraints before tying? Any help will be greatly appreciated...
