Subject: abaqus user subroutine - msg#00075

Hi,
I am new to this group. I have a question regarding
the user subroutine in abaqus.

I need to acess the entire result file. SO i am using
USDFIL subroutine. From the result file i will
calculate a parameter for each and every node.( this
calculation requires values at different nodes at a
time.. essentially i am using finite difference. SO i
cant use GETVRM.) I want to know how can i transfer
this calculated parameter to MPC subroutine which will
enforce or remove the constaint between the nodes
depending on its value.

Thanks,
Sivom.

Memory allocation error

Dear all, When I run a large model, I got error message in .msg file: MEMORY ALLOCATION ERROR. EXECUTION TERMINATED. ******* BYTES REQUIRED TO CONTINUE But I did give a big enough standard_memory in the abaqus.env file. Did anybody have such problem before? Could you give me some advice? again: Multi-Steps Analysis

Hello, how is it possible to stop the analysis after the first step without deleting or commenting the lines of the following steps in the inp file? If not, it would be a good improvement to allow multi line comments. greetings, Thomas ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor ---------------------~--> Get A Free Psychic Reading! Solution Mapping with Hyperelastic materials

Hello, I am trying to do solution mapping after remeshing for a stress/displacement analysis problem in abaqus/standard with thermal exapnsion. I have written my own remeshing utility. I use the keyword *MAP SOLUTION in the new job's inp file. When, I use HYPERELASTIC material (or NEO HOOKE or MOONEY-RIVLIN), the interpolated stresses after solution mapping from old mesh are different from before remeshing (even if I really don't do any remeshing and use the same old mesh for the new job). They are usually higher causing convergence problems at the begining of the analysis in the new job. This is not the case for linear elastic material in which the interpolated stresses are fairly accurate. I should say that my problems happen only when I use thermal expansion, but for other types of loads, this problem does not happen even with HYPERELASTIC material. Does anyone know what might be causing this problem, or if there is any solution for it? Many thanks, --Ashraf __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? SBC Yahoo! Re: abaqus user subroutine

You should be able to define a named COMMON block in both subroutines, and share variables that way.
