How to game razor as a censorship tool: msg#00176mail.spam.razor.user
Tell me if this wouldn't work. First - I manage servers that recieve a LOT of spam. I use spamassassin to auto report anything over 25 points and build a lot of trust by autosubmitting tens of thousands of real spam messages. I could even create multiple accounts so that I have several high trust accounts. Then - I subscribe - maybe multiple times to lists who I want to censor. Even lists with double opt-in under different aliases that are forwarded to me. After joining the targeted lists I then switch the aliases to autoreport this as spam to razor. Since I report 1000 real spams for every newsletter I want to censor - my karma stays high and the targeted lists are significantly hurt. S0 - should I set this up and test it? I could start with the White House mailing list and the Republican National Committee. Shall we do an experiment or should we fix the problem? If Razor has this flaw - shouldn't we conduct a real world test? Or - we could talk about fixing the problem ... (I hope I didn't give anyone ideas about actually doing this by posting this flaw) ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf |
