Can you _please_ answer my questions first? How do you build (configure 
options)? Do you just upgrade via 'svn update' or do you checkout each 
single revision on it's own? Did you try to clean everything so that the  
dependency handling works? Did you check curs_lib.c if it contains USER_ 
('grep USER_ curs_lib.c')? Can you please do 'grep USE_SOCKET config.h' 
in the source directory?
