Hi,

ACK. I'm not responsible for the snapshots, but IIRC this is just a checkout+tar of the current SVN. Besides the fact that DocBook just sucks... and I was so naive to think SGML is a hell...

More on exactly this:

Otherwise the build logs explode to 160 kilo's _and_ the internet is
needed to get xsl files, while this is not secure for building
distro's. The files are not checked with usual tools (md5, sha etc).

I know. I'd like to have the complete thing fixed in the following way: we add mirror targets to get recent copies of DTDs (these, also, are _always_ fetched via net) and XSLT files to local disk including (maybe) the SVN stuff.

Please respect the work of Rocco, who did a great job to 'restyle'
and 'restructure' the doc's ;)

Thanks for the compliment...

It's still fully broken and I just can't handle the workload though I have no university right now that fills up my schedule. I've already been asking someone for help on all the XML issues and we'll see. If any of the gentle readers here has some more (maybe even positive) experience, just feed in patches... ;-)

bye, Rocco
