As long as the directory server is configured so that a result this large can be returned, there's really no problem doing this as long as you set the LDAP_USE_ASYNC MTA option to use handle the list expansion asynchronously. (Synchronous operation causes excessive memory fragmentation in the LDAP client library.) Ned |
