Re: imapd crashing |
Good afternoon,
The workaround seems to work, as I could reproduce a crash
with your imap command and the configutil changed the imapd
behaviour.
Thanks for your help.

Good morning,
Sorry I sent the the case id to R. Cloke.
I forgot the list.
The call id is: Case id-37963329

If you would include the case number, the appropriate parties could
sync up with the case owner and make sure you case is moving along.
This looks like bug 6611011. The problem is that someone has tried to
list public shared folders and the store.publicsharedfolders.user
configutil option is not set. The workaround is "properly configure
public shared folders, if this functionality is required, or set the
configutil option to some bogus value to avoid the crashes, if not."

Good afternoon.
Our version is:

SunOS mbox 5.10 Generic_118822-25 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V490
I have opened a ticket because our imapd keeps coring.
While waiting for a callback from sun, I was wondering if anyone, on
this list, had an idea on the reason of the crashes.
I send a pstack
I have noticed that a particular UA was causing these crashes.
I put the telemetry on for this user and I have catched the ip
packets with ethereal.
But unfortunately, I can not put these files on this list.
