RE: imsconnutil -k -u not working and some imap idle questions.: msg#00030mail.ims.general
Open a case. Notifications should go to all instances and affect all sessions. -----Original Message----- From: Info-iMS-owner-QMRIvgJGioDQT0dZR+AlfA@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:Info-iMS-owner-QMRIvgJGioDQT0dZR+AlfA@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Chris Vervais Sent: October 15, 2007 16:09 To: Info-iMS-QMRIvgJGioDQT0dZR+AlfA@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [Info-iMS] imsconnutil -k -u not working and some imap idle questions. [amail011:...sbin] root[204]# ./imsimta version Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.3-4.01 (built Aug 3 2007; 64bit) libimta.so 6.3-4.01 (built 17:28:45, Aug 3 2007; 64bit) SunOS amail011 5.10 Generic_125100-06 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-480R I'm working with imsconnutil to be able to boot users out of IMAP. But, I can't seem to get it to work. I've successfully enabled IMAP IDLE and verified it's working: [amail011:...sbin] root[205]# telnet ams011.mac.com 143 Trying 10.150.81.139... Connected to ams011. Escape character is '^]'. * OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4 IMAP4rev1 ACL QUOTA LITERAL+ NAMESPACE UIDPLUS CHILDREN BINARY UNSELECT SORT LANGUAGE IDLE XSENDER X-NETSCAPE XSERVERINFO X-SUN-SORT X-SUN-IMAP X-ANNOTATEMORE X-UNAUTHENTICATE AUTH=PLAIN] ams011.mac.com IMAP4 service (Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.3-4.01 (built Aug 3 2007; 64bit)) I've also logged in via telnet and idled and got a new message notification so, I'm pretty sure it's set up properly yet, imsconnutil -k -u fails to disconnect me. It says it's doing it: [amail011:...sbin] root[202]# ./imsconnutil -k -u cvervais disconnecting cvervais And I verified it knows I'm logged in: [amail011:...sbin] root[211]# ./imsconnutil -c -s imap -u cvervais IMAP UID TIME AUTH TO FROM ======================================================================== ======== cvervais 15/Oct/2007:16:05:37 plaintext 10.150.81.139:143 10.13.11.65:59277 cvervais 15/Oct/2007:16:06:21 plaintext 10.150.81.139:143 10.150.74.1:52042 I also noticed that while I had two sessions idling, only one of them got the new message notification. The connections were coming from different IPs which I think might be relevant. Is IDLE setup to only notify one connection or should it be notifying all? Or, should I open a case for this? -Chris |
