All users are failing and yes always when coming in via proxyauth  
from admin.

Nope, no way I'd allow proxyauth via the MMPs

Correct. When I telnet in I'm logging in as the store admin and  
proxyauthing to the user.

This is the only thing in the telemetry logs for the admin user.
