Sending mail has nothing to do with dbmail.
After a user's mail client has sent a mail via SMTP it usually copies it
to some folder like "Sent" or "Sent mails" or whatever. Or maybe does
nothing, the user can usually configure his/her mail client to do what
ever he/she wants to do with sent mails.
If the user's mail client doesn't copy the mail to a folder, then the
sent mail will not end up in dbmail database at all.
