Mailtool is of great interest to me mainly to get a formatted listing of
folders & messages from IMAP mailboxes.
Unfortunately although I have built it OK on RH9, when connecting to our
Exchange servers IMAP address which is normally used by IMAP MUAs, it
fails with message "Name or service not known".
Now our exchange login names are in format abcd/efghi/<email-name> * so
a mailtool command would resemble:
mailtool -list
imap://abcd/efghi/j.smith-8an/7dFdfPUZRzUzb4UyzNBPR1lH4CV8@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
If I try & query with mailtool -list j.smith-8an/7dFdfPUZRzUzb4UyzNBPR1lH4CV8@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx it then
prompts for a password which of course fails because its an illegal
userid for our exchange server.
Has anyone managed to make mailtool work with an MS-exchange IMAP server
please ?
