Hopefully someone is always adding a new feature or fixing a bug, but this
has not been the case with log4net for some years now. Hence my cause for
concern and initial question.
Open source projects typically have alpha, beta and full releases. The last
full release of log4j was late last year and the next one is currently in
alpha. This seems to indicate a project that is in a healthy state.
