I don't think it's a very good idea to restructure your code in order
to please implementations that are clearly insufficient. It's much
better to push for that implementation to improve. So get those
arounds back in there..

In this regard I have a question to the list: I've recently been
working quite a bit with what is apparently approximately the same
Closette code-base as that used by Corman Lisp. So it would be
relatively easy for me to contribute fixes to issues like these. How
would I go about contributing a fix? Sending diffs to this list?

All the more important to examine this to see if it's a serious bug.

I wouldn't think so, so long as Corman Lisp's class-of works for structs.
