CL-HTTP 70.182a PRE is now available at:
<ftp://ftp.ai.mit.edu/pub/users/jcma/cl-http/devo/>
The release includes robust LispWorks and Genera implementations
as well as working MCL and CMUCL ports.
The LispWorks port is now provides very complete, fast,
robust performance on Windows, UNIX, LINUX, and
MacOSX, and offers a royalty-free, production-quality, cross-platform
application delivery with commercial support availability
The Genera port still supports production applications.
The MCL port has been upgraded to released MCL 5.0, but still
suffers from some weakness (for production operation) in the
MCL networking layer on MacOSX.
The two ACL ports have now been updated for this release.
The CMUCL port still needs more work to fill in the completeness
of the implementation and improve performance, and is ready to
become high quality on PC Linux.
Special thanks to Martin Simmons, Rainer Joswig, Olivier Clarisse,
Karsten Poeck, David Kleiner, and Bruno Emond.
The release notes describe some of the improvements.

Please test this release on your platforms and report any bugs
or fixes to the appropriate mailing lists in time for the
final release (coming soon).
Now is the time to get any improvements you desire into the release.
Remember that this Lisp code base can only move forward
when somebody does some work and shares it with you. If people
share their improvements, implementations, and new facilities,
then everyone benefits -- and code is refined.

Let's see some more community participation and activism!
Let's hear more on www-cl about what people are doing, big or
small, commercial or academic.
Have fun!
