The LTS Version has a lifecycle of 5 Years (till 2011). as quoted by Matt Zimmermann.
I suppose the next LTS will be released then.

I do hope it would be at least 6 months (1 year is even better) before Jun, 2011. ISV need time to develop/test their products for new platform. Sysadmin also need time to test migration of services from one platform to another.

The 5-year period is how long it will be supported, the release schedule is something entirely different. If i'm not mistaken, there isn't any fixed release schedule for LTS... i guess one could be expected every 1.5 to 2 years.
