Hi Reinhard,

[ wearing my utnubu hat here ]

Please point the potential contributors also to: http://mentors.debian.net/ .

For those who want to upload for Ubuntu then check if the package will
also run in Debian and upload there. You can follow these steps:

1 - Prepare a sid chroot using ubuntu's debootstrap

2 - Test if the package build, install and remove into sid chroot
Note: That's better use pbuilder and cowdancer, but it requires more
detailed instructions.

3 - Create / log into your mentors.debian.net account ask for more
tests and upload through the mentors interface

You're also free to register into alioth, the Debian's GForge setup at
http://alioth.debian.org/ and ask to join any group there to upload
your package and maintain it into svn, bzr, hg and more. Those unable
to define in which group your package fits better, ask to be added
into collab-maint and tell them you're lost. :-P

thanks in advance,
