Thanks to all guys for explanation of present situation.
The patch is aimed to remove ugly flickering in directories with lots
of long-named files. Dunno is it a bugfixing. Is it needed?
P.S. Is Kubuntu Gutsy not released yet? I thought release was 18-th Oct.
