Hi all,
I wanted to introduce myself. I work with a private Christian school
(PreK-12) in Northern Virginia (USA). A couple of years ago I
implemented K12LTSP in the computer lab mid-year and it was very
successful. Unfortunately, my successor removed it, as he didn't
understand anything but MS products (and we're now being threatened by
MS due to licensing compliance issues, but that's another story...).
Now I've been asked to re-do the school's network (all classrooms and
office), and the machines are a mix, and quite old. I'm considering
K12LTSP or edubuntu for the 20-25 classrooms and office. I'm also
interested in seeing if I can be of help here, as I think this is a
very worthwhile project.
I have used squidguard successfully in the past, and have a good deal
of experience in implementing content filtering. Happy to consider
other areas as well.
