I'm not sure on which SuSE Linux you want to install db2v8.1(?).
On SLES 8: there should be no problem.
On SL 9.0: export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5
On SL 9.1: try:
export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.21
or
export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19
