Subject: can't find libgutenprint.so.1.0 - msg#00078

List: linux.printing.gimp-print.devel

Date: Prev Next Index Thread: Prev Next Index
beta4: I can't find libgutenprint.so.1.0 ( mentioned in the README
apckaging suggestions ).

Can't find it after make:

find . -name "libgutenprint.*"
./src/main/libgutenprint.sym
./src/main/.libs/libgutenprint.so
./src/main/.libs/libgutenprint.a
./src/main/.libs/libgutenprint.lai
./src/main/.libs/libgutenprint.la
./src/main/libgutenprint.la
./debian/libgutenprint.install.in

and make install doesn't seem to create it:

Making install in main
/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/gutenprint-5.0.0-beta4/src/main
make[2]: Entering directory
`/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/gutenprint-5.0.0-beta4/src/main'
make[3]: Entering directory
`/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/gutenprint-5.0.0-beta4/src/main'
test -z "/usr/lib64" || mkdir -p --
"/var/tmp/gutenprint-5.0.0-0.jfb-root/usr/lib64"
/bin/sh ../../libtool --mode=install /usr/bin/install -c
'libgutenprint.la'
'/var/tmp/gutenprint-5.0.0-0.jfb-root/usr/lib64/libgutenprint.la'
/usr/bin/install -c .libs/libgutenprint-5.0.0-beta4.so
/var/tmp/gutenprint-5.0.0-0.jfb-root/usr/lib64/libgutenprint-5.0.0-beta4.so
(cd /var/tmp/gutenprint-5.0.0-0.jfb-root/usr/lib64 && rm -f
libgutenprint.so && ln -s libgutenprint-5.0.0-beta4.so
libgutenprint.so)
/usr/bin/install -c .libs/libgutenprint.lai
/var/tmp/gutenprint-5.0.0-0.jfb-root/usr/lib64/libgutenprint.la
libtool: install: warning: remember to run `libtool --finish /usr/lib64'

Should the README actually be referring to libgutenprint-5.0.0-beta4.so?

sean

Re: Re: beta4: escputil doesn't like long form options

From: sean darcy <seandarcy2@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Sun, 15 May 2005 19:05:19 -0400 Still messing with escputil. nozzle check doesn't print black, at least not on my Epson Stylus Photo 890. Feature? Bug? Is your printer printing black? Does it print anything at all? -- Robert Krawitz <rlk@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Tall Clubs International -- http://www.tall.org/ or 1-888-IM-TALL-2 Member of the League for Programming Freedom -- mail lpf@xxxxxxxxxxxx Project lead for Gimp Print -- http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net "Linux doesn't dictate how I work, I dictate how Linux works." --Eric Crampton ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by Oracle Space Sweepstakes Want to be the first software developer in space? With the ICC profile (made with last beta4 snapshot) I need to change the Yellow balance at least to 0.55, the dark magenta, yellow and cyan are correct but not the previous step and only this! Is it possible to have a reference like an IT8 chart to explain? I can put one on my website. Without ICC profile there is also a problem for Cyan (dark values). I needed to set Brigthness to 1.4 and contrast to 1.2. Robert, depending on how near we are to 5.0.0, would you like the "proper" library versioning turning on?
