Very good news! (see my post on June,3 for my wish-list).
I would replace my old Ex by I a new R800... I had bought the Ex
because RLK had one and it was supported! (I had 2 Ex, one for Quadtone)

And I tried to compile 5.0.0 beta1... it fails as the previous, but I
checked again and found may be why it was failling in error:
For rastertoprinter and genppd the -I../../include was missing before 
-I/usr/local/include and the old header was used. Now it is compiling,
I need to install it and test.

The command was:

depfile='.deps/genppd.Po' tmpdepfile='.deps/genppd.TPo' \
depmode=gcc /usr/local/bin/bash ../../scripts/depcomp \
