Subject: Re: OVERSCAN

I uploaded a working binary of nvtv:
http://xbox-linux.sourceforge.net/down/nvtv1
so you can play with it. It segfaults with the RGB cable, but works well if you are using the composite cable. (Have we tried it on NTSC so already?)
I'm very busy at the moment, but I'll try to move some nvtv code into the bootloader. In the meantime, you can use this binary to fix the overscan after Linux has been booted.

Hi.

Have only a little question:

What is the status of the overscanfix?

(my email has been screwed - again - all morning, addr.com seem to have
run out of disc space on their mailserver this time)

There is a slightly fragile but working nvtv version issued by Ryan
Shoff and Dirk Thierbach, the original developer, floating about. I know
Michael has been trying to strip the guts into the XBE loader but has
been held back until recently by nvtv crashing, it turned out because he
was using an RGB video cable instead of the composite one.

So my understanding is that either the XBE loader or nvtv called by an
init script will take away the overscan problem shortly, its basically
working and just needs packaging in a good way.
