I did not say, that distributing linux to a dvd is illegal.

maybe some understood false.
the question was, if the xbe security concept can be broken, if distributing
on a DVD.
and this is definitfly not possible.
and, because of this, distribution on a dvd makes no sense, as it is cheaper
and easyer to burn it to a DVD-RW

the only "idea" where this makes sense, is to take (.. notice, this is
illegal)

Take any game, .....
put the default.xbe to the dvd. (from a valid functionable game)

in this case, the xbe would be loaded, as the signature appeares "correct".
and then you can try, to include corrupted data to the DVD, eg. texture,
fonts....
and this lets you maybe collapse the xbox and produces a buffer-overflow.

but .. this is illegal. (from many reasons)
