However, the unit that I had trouble with CD-R-R/Ws is not the same one that I am using DVD-Rs on. Long story, but I replaced that Thompson drive with a PC drive (This unit was mfg in Dec 2001). The unit I use DVD-Rs on was mfg in May 2002 AFAIR. I have not tried CD-Rs etc on this unit, after my experience with the first one, it seemed futile.
