It's the bios you are using, the reboot feature in the new Evox /
Executer 2 bios's are causing problems with booting linux.

Subject: [Xbox-linux] XBox booting problem

Hello!

I am trying to make my XBox to run Linux, but with no luck up to this
point. I have a V 1.1 PAL XBox, with EvoX 3.6 BIOS installed. My XBox is
rather relaxed with the CDRWs & cheap CDRs, so this isn't an issue.

I downloaded the 0.0.7 debian image & tried it. The Penguin fades in, a
white dot appears at the left of it's mouth & nothing more :( The eject
button led turns to orange (without blinking). Looks like the XBox is
freezed.

I tried then the (older) SuSE image. I burned in a UDF CD the following
files:
default.xbe linuxboot.cfg vmlinuz

The file linuxboot.cfg inhalts:
root \Device\CdRom0
kernel \vmlinuz
initrd \initrd
append root=/dev/hda2

After the XBox logo the screen turns into blank and nothing more
happens.

Any idea?
Is there any way to try and debug it?
