For whatever reason, (someone suggested it was the colourspace conversion which is having to be done in software) without the hardware accelleration the Xbox is not quite fast enough to use the zoom option without dropping frames. With Oliver's accellerated driver (allowing -vo xv) people who are using it report its perfect. And with good source material, the quality on a TV is really very good. >What would be preferred to buy, 1.0 or 1.1? With v1.1 you can only currently use the Xecuter hacked native BIOS. People have reported that Xbox Linux will not start with that BIOS, I have not got around to test this myself yet. So right this second its still preferred to get a v1.0 box from before August manufacturing date. But my guess is soon enough we'll be okay with v1.1 boxes too. -Andy ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf |
