Random questions about Linux + Xbox

First the question of how picky it is with cdr media.  I have heard that the 
"Christmas bundle xbox with jet set radio and sega gt" reads cheap cdrs very 
well.  I hope this is the case. =).  Second the debian install guide says that 
it needs 10+ gigs to install?  Is that the same for all the premade isos 
available?  Lastly I was wondering  how good output looks to the tv.  Im 
planning on setting one up in my living room running freevo to play captured 
music videos and captured tv shows across a nfs mount to my server box.  Does 
the tv-out introduce any flicker when you are watching videos on it?
