Mandrake Linux freezing under Xecutor 2 4972 on V1.0 Xbox.

Same here just freezes works fine with Evox 2.6

Also does the same on V1.1 Xbox with Xecutor 4972 for V1.1.

not much time here got class too soon. I've slapped together some
packages thats contain the nv fix (or so I think) I need some folk to
test it and see how it turns out. I'll give a quick haphazard install
guide here, there are no garuntess this is going to work and I take no
responsibility if your xbox blows up into smitherines...

first make a backup of your XF86Config file

cp /etc/X11/XF86Config ~/XF86Config.orig

then add my packages as a urpmi source

urpmi.addmedia tjfontaine
http://xbox-linux.kicks-ass.net/mandrake-updates/RPMS with
../base/hdlist.cz

then hopefully all you should need to do is this

urpmi --auto-select

and it will grab all the new version packages, now the way i set up the
mandrake packages are thusly, XFree86-4.2.1-3mdk was original now its
4.2.1-3.0.1mdk to save room for mdk to release a true update for it, and
then allow us to update that. if your auto select doesn't work rpm -qa |
grep XFree and see whats installed and try installing the corresponding
new packages, all, count that, all mdk packages for XFree86 had to be
upgraded so all of yours should be too! Send all problem childs to
#xbox-linux on irc.oftc.net gotta run to class now, let me know how it
turns out

tjfontaine

P.S. if they don't work when I have time I will release to the list an
instruction guide to remove my virusus from your computer and put the
original mandrake back in

P.S.S. if by some chance it complains about not having a signature,
thats because I didn't sign them I will when I konw they work, if you
don't want to see that error no more simply append your urpmi command
with --no-verify-rpm

FYI

I tested the new bios executer2 and evo-x 2.6 under linux.

Evo-X 2.6 seems to make no problems where executer2 just freezes my box.
(CD & HDD Boot)

Anyone can confirm this?

Wonder why this is happening.
