Or use the macmini Lirc userspace driver.

Hi folks :-) using kernel 2.6.25.6 (with debian testing) I don't see any appleir modules.. in mactel patches too.. I thinked that appletouch included appleir functions but nothing.. The hiddev0 should correspond to you IR sensor. Please continue to use the mailing list.
