intel mini mac: back to EFI: msg#00065linux.ports.mactel.user
Hello List, I have installed with success Etch (Debian) on my intel mini mac (dual core): to do so I installed Boot Camp and refit. Since this first stage, I have built a kernel to avoid to run on a generic one. Now I want to use my box without monitor: because of a bug in the firmware, the box freezes (see previous email sent to the List), so I want to come back to EFI boot. I have installed the elilo Debian package, but I cannot modified the EFI part of the computer because efibootmgr is stuck because the `efivar' kernel module seems not to work. My guess is that I have to launch linux with a working `efivar' at least once before to use efibootmgr: so far I did not succeed to do so. How can I launch linux with a working `efivar' ?
