Consider myself interested too. I had something like that in mind
also, but it always seemed like too distant a thing. Well, maybe time
has come to bite at it. I've again spent some time on the net hunting
for low-level object store (that's what we need to backup)
information. Of now avail - there're lot of rambling about 33 wince's
process slots of 32Mb each, but regarding ObjStore there's hardly
anything besides few trivia facts and mentioning of
SetSystemMemoryDivision()/GetStoreInformation(). Still, I dumped few
links on the wiki page.

Then I remembered that I've bothered to get wince5 platformbuilder
with my previous ROM investigations, though it arrived too late ;-).
Well, it seems to have the answers to disturbing questions - I dumped
files of primary interest to wiki too. And I actually see that PB is
quite good and giving a ROM layout too. So, you may want to look for
that too.

I guess you don't start from scratch, right? HaRET seems like
natural thing to extend with all these features.
