At kernel level, you need to modprobe snd-h2200_audio (glue code for h2200),
if not built-in in the image. That pulls in snd-pxa2xx-i2sound (general code
for PXA2xx I2S audio) and snd-uda1380 (codec UDA1380), and i2c-pxa (PXA2xx
I2C).

Now you can ask people using GPE for what apps they suggest.

For Opie, I'm using MediaPlayer 1 and 2, cause I had some annoyances with 2
(alignment traps, and segfaults with oggs), as I tryed stock hh.org packages.
Unfortunately, latest Opie rootfs in hh.org is well-known misconfigured out of
the box; but easy to fix touchscreen and sound.

== sound:
- file /etc/modutils/snd-h2200_audio:
snd-h2200_audio
- update-modules

== touchscreen:
- file /etc/profile.d/tslib.sh (attached)
- file /etc/pointercal (attached)
- file /etc/ts.conf (attached)

I'm using a custom built 2.6.15 kernel (you can use default config generated
from h2200_defconfig and customize at will) with a rootfs based on updated
packages from hh.org. Booting from LAB for a competlely Windoze-free
environment.

As far as I can tell now, the environment seems usable with satisfaction.
A major thing to do relates to special buttons. Opie doesn't see them
out-of-the-box, probably because packages built with kernel 2.4 in mind and
not reading from /dev/input/event*. I'm not an expert of Opie, but I think
it's strightforward easy to address the issue in many ways.

Let me know,

Giorgio
