Question about output device

Hi all,

Here is my linux porting on SA1110 environment list

Kernel  linux-2.4.8
bootldr 2.14.15-jd1

We have done with linux porting on our customized board and successfully
boot the kernel.
We also can see the output from the terminal and interact with kernel
through /dev/ttySA0 without any trouble.
Now my question is 
I changed the output device to /dev/ttySA2 (we don't use neponset board).
I can't see any response after an input although I can see the booting
information all the way to linux login:.
The output somehow is missing.  I can't figure out where it was directed to.

Can anyone help!!
