snapshot consistency when using xfs: msg#00015linux.lvm.devel
Hello LVM folks: Sorry for sending duplicate email. The previous one was sent by mistake. My mouse slipped. :-) Anyway, I am curious to know when using snapshot with XFS and the system was shut down by power failure while writing some big file to the original volume, (hence a lot of blocks were being written to the snapshot at that time i.e. heavy cow operation was expected) will the snapshot survive such a disaster? I tried to think about the possible scenario but that was beyond of my ability considering my lack of knowledge on the detailed structure of device mapper/snapshot. As always, any comment is welcomed. :-) Thanks very much.... _____________________________________________________________________ 값싸고 품질좋은 인화 - 야후! 사진 http://kr.photos.yahoo.com/ 돈되는 중고차 쇼핑몰 - 야후! 자동차 http://autos.yahoo.co.kr/autos/ |
