Definitely just lose the "-kgdb". That was strictly something I
had in my working Makefile to keep the resulting kernel distinct
from builds in other source trees where I was testing other
things like ltt. I should have taken that out before committing
to my local CVS and generating the patches. Sorry.

Nope. This is better done either with CONFIG_LOCALVERSION or
echo mystuff > localversion nowadays, too.
