Subject: Re: i386 Hardware watchpoints using kgdb-2-2.6.14.tar.gz

Dennis,

Your other email tells why Jitendra's experiment failed (data watchpoints
instead of execution). It should work fine once your patch is applied.

We are going to followup on the gdb side further and try to get something that
can be submitted to the community. Just modifying nm-i386.h and nm-linux.h
isn't sufficient. Other platforms also have to be considered. We need a
mechanism that shows correct behavior on platforms that don't support
hardware watchpoints.
