[ gpsdrive ] gpsfetchmap already existing maps

Hey!

one short question about gpsfetchmap:

theres a line in the help file which says  _ means that the map already
exists in the filesystem.
Is it a pre-check and the script doesn't try to download the map or does
the script download the map and if it want to write the file it declares
the map
is already there?
