Yes. The DBUS API is not fixed yet. The patch works with the currently
common 0.2 series. I already saw discussion on the gentoo bug tracker about
the 0.3 series which probably breaks things. If this happens you still get a
clean compile of gpsdrive if you simply don't use --enable-dbus. Also it
prevents DBUS from being a hard dependency. The third reason is that
configure doesn't really check for DBUS (I borrowed from gpsd where people
had difficulties to reliably check for DBUS) so if you use --enable-dbus and
don't have it installed, things go up in flames =)
